Exterior:

● Visually inspect landscaping for damage or weeds

● Visually inspect driveway and walkway for damage, unsightly stains, or weeds

● Check trash cans, move to proper location if applicable

● Visually inspect walls and fences for obvious damage

● Check windows and doors for signs of damage or vandalism

● Check exterior security lighting

● Check faucets and hoses for leaks

● Check for drainage issues

● Check condensate line (if applicable)

● Check outdoor A/C and water heating unit for damage

● Inspect decks for damage

● Check outdoor grilling area for burns and ensure propane is off, check propane tank levels and replace as needed

● Check panel/circuit breakers for fault

● Remove junk mail/flyers from exterior of house

● Check hot tub for water level, discoloration, algae, trash (if applicable)

○ Confirm hot tub turns on / heats up (if applicable)

Interior:

● Visually inspect garage (leaks, pests, mold, damage, trash)

● Check washer/dryer for damage, mold, smell; clear lint trap

● Check fire/smoke/CO2 alarms for proper operation

● Operate garbage disposal, run water, check for leaks

● Check dishwasher for leaks and smell

● Inspect lights and fans for burnt bulbs, dust, and blade operation

● Inspect water heater for leaks

● Inspect air filter(s) and change as necessary

● Check refrigerator / freezer operability and temperature settings

○ Check refrigerator filter

○ Confirm fridge is empty and clean

● Visually inspect walls and ceilings for obvious damage or leaks

● Check that all windows and doors function properly and are locked

● Run water and check faucets, drains, showers, tubs, and under sinks for leaks

○ Confirm hot water in faucets / showers

● Flush toilets and check for leaks

● Check status of router; connect to internet and run speed test

● Check temperature on thermostats and ensure system kicks on

● Check A/C filter and condensate line

● Check for signs of pest infestation (live or dead bugs, nets, droppings, telltale damage)

● Check for signs of mold, unusual sounds, or smells

● Check cleanliness of cleaning/storage closets
